Sunshine Health Foods opened in Cedar City in 1969, the same year our family opened Dixie Nutrition in St. George. It was Bill Gillespie's store — Gil's brother.

Bill eventually sold and moved to California. The store struggled under the new owner, and Gil bought it back. It's been in the family ever since, run most recently by Jill, who's still here today. A few years ago we brought it under the Dixie Nutrition name so all four stores share one name.

Same store, same family, more than fifty years in Cedar City.

Staff who actually know this stuff. Jill has thirty years in the natural products industry. Gayle has thirty years of her own. Stephanie came to us from Lazy Acres in California with ten years in natural foods. Between them, there isn't much they haven't been asked.

Supplements, produce, and bulk. Cedar City is known for its supplement selection, fresh organic produce, and one of the largest bulk herb and bulk food sections in Iron County.

Fresh-ground nut butter. Organic almond, peanut, and cashew butter, ground in store.

Frozen yogurt, two flavors always running. No artificial colors, no artificial sweeteners, with a vegan option every day. We've been serving frozen yogurt in Southern Utah since 1979.

If we don't have it, we'll get it. We've been the special order store since 1969. Tell us the brand and we'll bring it in.

We were, for over fifty years. The store opened in 1969 as Sunshine Health Foods, founded by Bill Gillespie. We changed the name a few years ago so all four of our stores share one name. Same store, same family, same staff.
